There are so many campgrounds in Daytona Beach you would think we all live in tents. You have to be picky when picking a campground though. Especially during different seasons like, Bike Week , Biketoberfest, BCR, or Race week. These events tend to cause for rowdy crowds at the camp sites. You want to typically go with quieter more family oriented places like the places I have chosen.

My favorite on the list is Nova Family Campgrounds. This location is very quiet and right near everything you need when on a relaxing family vacation. They have an amazing website that i have referenced in this article as well. It has all the details you need to know and more about our areas activities too. I see this campground everyday and I have to say it …

Outdoor camping gear is designed to be rugged, lightweight, and waterproof. Most of it anyway: electronic equipment, such as GPS satellite receivers, tends to be more delicate than anything else. And costly–in price and convenience–to replace. Your most precious outdoor camping gear just might be the GPS that will lead you back to the trailhead.

Protect Your Outdoor Camping Gear

Avid campers and hikers will insist that you bring as little gear as possible, especially when you are carrying it on your back. Dehydrated food, convertible pants that zip into shorts, and the smallest toothbrushes you can imagine: everything adds weight, so cut back as much as you can. But when it comes to protecting gears, it’s better to err on the side of safety.

I try to backpack in Yosemite every year, and I’ve …

RV screen rooms give RVers a chance to extend their living areas while remaining protected from rain and bugs. A number of places we visit, especially during the spring and summer months, have bugs, and they come in droves. Relaxing outside becomes a battle with mosquitoes and flies. RV screen rooms keep the pests out.

Depending on what you consider “pests,” RV screen rooms may not keep all the pests out. I am only kidding. There is something to be said about the ability to enjoy the outdoors without having to contend with its potential annoyances. That’s why I suggest screen rooms. I can enjoy a nice spring afternoon without having to swat my thighs or neck every five seconds to kill a mosquito.

Growing Popularity of RVing Means More RV Screen Rooms

Cherry Hill Campground in the Sumter National Forest in South Carolina is of note for various reasons. Not only is it located in a National Forest that provides a lot of recreational opportunities including hiking across state lines, if you don’t mind getting wet, Cherry Hill Campground is one of the nicest National Forest Campgrounds that I have seen.

Nestled into the Sumter National Forest along South Carolina’s border with Georgia and near to the state’s border with North Carolina, Cherry Hill campground offers about 30 camping sites at a low National Forest price. However, included in the low price common to National Forest campgrounds are both hot showers and flush toilets which are somewhat uncommon in National Forest campgrounds. Aside from the nice facilities Cherry Hill’s camping sites are large and spacious, offer a …

While this may not immediately sound like a big deal, the art of camping is all about being comfortable in a tough setting and to find great deals on camping accessories means that some level of comfort will be assured.

When purchasing fifth wheel hitches, the two things you need to look for are safety and security. Most hitches are easy to install and maintain, but you need to make sure you buy a good one with a reputable brand name. Buying a good fifth wheel hitch means you can relax in the cab knowing the rest of the rig is firmly secured to the towing vehicle.

Travel trailers and pop-ups are hitched to the back of your car, but Fifth Wheel Hitches mount to a special component in the bed of a pick-up truck. This specific arrangement typically requires a compatible towing vehicle with some considerable towing power. Like the run-of-the-mill travel trailer, Fifth Wheel Hitches offer their owners the flexibility to unhitch the RV and take the truck around sightseeing or to more …
