It's "Snow Cold" Outside!

Good frosty morning everyone! It's quite chilly here in the Northwest and you can better believe we're going to see loads of snow! Some places already has!! It's crazy cold....

We love the snow here. Growing up in Florida made me wish for snow every single day when it was winter {well if you could call it that} in Florida. As I got older I knew I wanted to live in a place that had snow. It's a must during those cold holiday seasons, isn't it!
Last year was no exception with our snowy filled days and not only do I love it, but Alyssa does too! She couldn't wait to dawn on her winter gear and go play in the snow! Here I created a layout that has her putting all her winter clothing on and running outside. Little did she know that it was FREEZING out there! I snapped her turning around looking at me! She kept saying it was "snow" cold out!

GCD supplies: Rob&Bob Scandia Jul Scandinavian Holiday Stripe Collection papers, Rob&Bob Scandia Jul Scandinavian Sparkle Lattice Light Green papers, Rob&Bob Scandia Jul Scandinavian die cut ornament sheets, Tina Higgins Flower Brads Sweet Surrender Collection.

So tell me friends, do you like frosty mornings too?

I am thankful.

Recently I had an assignment come down from Pebbles Inc. to do a project on something we were grateful for. I enjoyed this project a lot. Mainly because for me, it is very easy to talk about what I am grateful for. There are SO many things! I hope that you have many things in your life you are thankful for as well!

I wanted to do a layout about Alyssa.

Holiday's

Truth be told, I don't know much about Hanukkah. So when this assignment came up with SRM Stickers, I decided that I would take it on! I love doing things that are new and interesting. I knew a little bit about it since I dated someone in HS who celebrated Hanukkah, but didn't know a whole lot. I went to the link above and read up this holiday!
I am also always trying to fill the tubes with interesting stuff! Don't get me wrong, I love what others do with me but for me when I think of creating something with them its always me wanting to create something outside of the norm. Here's what I came up with:

Supplies: Quick Cards #52037 Hanukkah, American Crafts, Offray Ribbons, Doodlebug Designs, Floss.

Isn't it cute? I really like the way it turned out and how I filled the tube with 8 candles and 8 matches to light the Menorah nightly!!

Happy Thanksgiving

From my family to yours, I hope that you have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving Day!

Show&Tell

Hello everyone! What a fine day this is!
Today I wanted to share with you a layout I did for the Doodlebug Designs blog!
Today we're featured doing a show&tell using the collection line called Classic Collection. This line is one of my favorites with Doodlebug and when the assignment came down I knew what I wanted to do! I love Cute Cuts! This is in the collection and they are pre-made tags.

Cute huh? I think so too! My assignment was to focus upon one product in this collection.
Using the Cute Cuts I created this:

Supplies:
Doodlebug Swimming Pool Twine
Doodlebug Swimming Pool Jewels
Doodlebug Classic Collection
Show & tell product: Doodlebug Classic Collection Cute Cuts.

I wanted to keep this layout simple. I only wanted to use a little bit of color, so I just added a lil' pop of Swimming Pool on there! I love how this turned out and love the photo of Dayv and I as well!

When you use a collection, do you like to focus on one thing in it too?

Anytime.

Ya know anytime I can talk or do a project that has my dogs in them it makes me smile. There is something to be said about having a dog as a family pet. We are dog people. Nothing brings me more joy than the fact that no matter what or when, my dogs always are excited to see me. They greet me at the door, they love me, they are always wanting me to pet them, they are just plain cute, and they LOVE treats!!
So it's the only way I can get cute photos like the one's you saw before. I had to scrap them of course!!!

Supplies: Studio Calico Kit

I also wanted to share my grateful list:

1. It was a short week.
2. Dayv was on leave so it was nice having him home.
3. Alyssa and I laughing our butts off!
4. My math teacher who actually wants me to succeed.
5. Photographs.
6. Playing video games with my family.
7. People who are praying for you.
8. Knock down drag out fights with the Lord. Because after you lay it all down and submit, you realize He wants the best for you no matter how long  you fight it.
9. Knowing that I will eventually see every dear sweet friend again in Heaven!
10. Text messages with uplifting words of encouragement has caused me to turn around and do the same for someone else. Because everyone needs to hear words of encouragement.

Hope your weekend's been grand!

Us.

I can't say enough about how excited I was to be able to find a great photographer for our newest family photos. Sure I take photos all the time, but we needed new updated fancy-smancy one's! So I contacted local photographer, Vanessa Jean Photography.
We had such a wonderful time shooting at a farm location. It couldn't have been a more beautiful afternoon!

She simply summed up our family beautifully!!!

Just the 2 of us.

As cliche as it sounds picture if you will with me two people who are madly in love. Also hear this while picturing these two people who are in love..

Courtesy of Bill Withers

Doesn't that make for a perfect setting of a tribute to those who are in love? I certainly think so! The people in reference is myself and my guy Dayv. We've been married for 16 years now, yeah us! Although we do have a beautiful daughter, as we get older I realize just how much it's the 2 of us. We're best friends. I am very thankful of him and our relationship especially where its come from! We are a living testimony to making a marriage work, because it takes a lot of work that we have and still are willing to put in and with all that came the fruit of a solid, great marriage!

I was inspired by these colors and that song because it was so fitting. In fact so much I had to create a project that did both!

The two of us inspiration:
