Things are changing.

Why hello again! I posted this long blog post and POOF gone.. It isn't bloggers fault either, although that would be great to place the blame on them. It came from my typing happy fast fingers. Oh well.

So here's the deal. I've been taking a serious look at my blog. Its pretty much is all about my life personal and scrapbooking wise. I know a lot of you only come to see scrapbooking and that's great! I teetered with having a personal blog and a scrappy one but decided that I didn't want to handle 2 blogs and keep up with that. So what I've decided to do is scrappy stuff the majority of time and on the weekends I am going to post personal stuff. I might throw some scrappy stuff in there on the weekends too though! I figured this way if you didn't really want to read a really long posts you didn't have too and if you did, then that's cool too!!! So it really meshes both worlds greatly in my opinion! Although, I do like your opinions too!

Also I wanted to share a scrapping funny with ya! I have this punch.

I am sure we all have this punch right? Well this is my very favorite punch {not like I had many but I LOVED this one} and I used it all the time. Well the little pin by the "S" underneath of course started to come out. I can't tell you how upset I was. I tried to get Dayv to fix it and he did but told me I couldn't push down all the way or the pin would come out. So for a long time I took care in using it. Making sure never to push too hard. But I used that thing with almost every single project I did. That meant more wear and tear on it. The plastic around the pin broke. Which meant the pin wouldn't stay in place.  I can't tell you how many pieces of cardstock I wrecked trying to use it. The pin finally popped out, the plastic piece hanging on for dear life broke off completely and I couldn't use it at all. Oh how I tried to love my other punches {the other 3 I have, lol} but it just wasn't working. I tried to "fix" it again to no avail. But I grabbed it so much and used it so much it was almost innate to just grab it and use it. So I finally am breaking down and buying a new one, because I can't live without my punch! I know I'm not up on the many punches out there, but do you have a favorite one too? Share it with me!

exhilarating!

I couldn't wait to scrap this. Mainly for the journaling aspect of it because I wanted to get the memories down right away! It was such a wonderful, exciting experience!!!

Journaling: I had no idea what to expect when we signed up for the dolphin experience in the Bahamas. I've never really been up close and personal with dolphins and swimming with them seemed a little frightening. But I was willing to experience something new, and after all it was a once in a lifetime experience at that! I came up to the beautiful place where the dolphins were. I watched a short video along with hearing the trainers talk to us about what to expect and dolphin habitat. Still I didn't know what to expect. I donned the wet suit, got the snorkel and mask and head out to the pool where they were. It was a beautiful crisp, clear day! We were in a group of 5 and there were 2 trainers per group. We all got into the water and he began to explain a few things to us. He then showed us what to do so that the dolphins would come up to us in order for us to touch them. I laid my hands cupped into the water and waited, a little scared and a lot excited. Suddenly she came up to me and laid her nose upon my hands. It was pure joy! Then the trainer gave the signal and she lifted her nose so I could kiss her. In only lasted about 1 minute but it seemed like forever as I begun slowly to talk to her. I got a little teary-eyed being so close to such a beautiful gentle animal. She swam away and I watched the others do the same thing. Then we were allowed to have her come up close and personal with us. I crouched down into the water and waited while the trainer signaled for her to come. She came gliding up and stopped right in front of me. I didn't move a muscle! The trainer told me I could touch her and I laid my hand upon her ever so gently. It was amazing and I felt so blessed! The second portion of the dolphin experience was we were allowed to swim in the deep waters with the dolphins. As the trainer explained a few things the dolphins swam all around us. We were good to go and I just started to swim around and suddenly 2 dolphins came up to my face!!! They didn't stay long, but it was such a wonderful memory for me! I petted their backsides and swam with them for what seemed to be like forever! It was amazing! The last and final thing we did with the dolphins was they were going to push us across the pool with their nose!!! I was nervous for this thinking I was going to hurt her, or I was too big for her to push. But learning about dolphins, I quickly realized their noses were extremely strong! So I laid on the boogie board awaiting for her to come behind me, not really sure what to expect. In a sudden rush, she pushed me clear across the pool as I squealed with delight at the mere thought of a beautiful animals pushing me!!! It was such an amazing experience!!! After that we just stood still talking with one of the trainers while he was explaining things to us, the dolphins freely swam all around us. I cannot express and put into words what this experience was like for me! I have always thought dolphins were such beautiful animals, but swimming with them was something I shall cherish forever and ever!! The experience was exhilarating!!! August 4th 2011-Nassau Bahamas.

Obedient.

Recently I've been hit with being more obedient. Now mind you, since I've started my walk with the Lord it has been one of the things that has been important to me. I try to be obedient all the time through the Lord and with the Lord with whatever He needs me to do, say, be, move, etc. Obedience is extremely important in our Christian walk. I think sometimes people don't understand obedience. It isn't just a strict rule of following, it is something the Lord tells us we must do.

If we are God’s people, what should we do? Can we neglect, fudge or reinterpret God’s word now that we have believed in the Lord? We say we are evangelicals. Can we render intermittent obedience or subscribe to now that we are people of God?
The answer is no. If we are Christians, we obey God.

who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood:
   Grace and peace be yours in abundance.-1peter1:2

 For what are we saved? Obedience to Jesus Christ, says Peter. Paul writes about this also in his great treatise of the gospel, the book of Romans: “Through him and for his name’s sake we received grace and apostleship to call people from all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith” -Romans1:5

May God have mercy on us and help us to turn to him! May we cherish and embrace his word, hold fast to his statutes, and run to obey them every time.

You see my faith and strong and my love for scrapping is strong too so I wanted to actually incorporate the two more so within this hobby as much as I can. I got the perfect chance to do that through  My Paper Treehouse who is holding a blog hop! The challenge of the hop was to create something that can show what the Lord has shown you.

Deuteronomy 26:17

You have declared this day that the Lord is your God and that you will walk in obedience to him, that you will keep his decrees, commands and laws that you will listen to him.

This scripture is something that I truly live by and over the course of my walk, the Lord has shown me and made it applicable to my life! If I am called to be who I am in Christ, I must obey. Not only must I, I want too. For I know what life was like without the Lord. I do not wish to walk like that again.

Good morning sweet friends! I sure hope your weekend has been going great! Ours sure has! We enjoyed not doing a single thing on Saturday, except A's haircut very early. But other than that we rested, played, scrapped, talked, and ate yummy foods! Today is church and my grateful list!!!

Grateful for:

1. Not working so I can help out with A's HS marching band.

2. Keeping our AC off until mid-afternoon.

3. Long prayers with the Lord.

4.  Giving a message to someone or a word and having them heed it. I am obedient to what the Lord calls me to do.

5. Letting go of things in my life that needed to be let go of.

6. D's GI bill paperwork coming through early so I can sign up and start school.

7. Dayv sewing on master September 1. That was quick!

8. Girlie talks with Alyssa.

9. Ice cream!

10. Water with ice in it.

A closer look.

Outside my window... Evening is starting to arrive.
I am thinking... How hard of a day it was for Alyssa today and how proud I am of her.
I am thankful for...  My home and my family.
From the kitchen... I realized its not been used to cook dinner since Dayv left. How neglected of a kitchen it is!
I am wearing... Shorts and a tank top.
I am creating.. A project for Scrapbook Circle.
I am going... To walk the dogs and then hang with Alyssa.
I am reading... The bible.
I am hoping... When I go in to change A's schedule from orchestra to concert band there are not any issues in doing so.
I am hearing...Alyssa practicing her new music for band.
Around the house... I feel love.
One of my favorite things... The quiet of early mornings.
A few plans for the rest of the week... Changing Alyssa's schedule. Cleaning the house. Cutting up fresh veggies. Scrapping. Actually making dinner. Hanging with Alyssa. Getting A's haircut. Church. Picnic's. Looking forward for D's return!

Day 4.

Sorry I've got no scrappy stuff for ya right now. Although I am very busy scrapping, I cannot show you a single thing as of yet! Just bare with me and look at more trip photos! LOL.

Day 4 held another excursion. This time this one was in the Bahamas. It was simply beautiful there. This day we swam with dolphins, went into an aquarium, and also swam in a beautiful private beach area.

This was an amazing day! We loved being able to swim with the dolphins, it was amazing! We also swam with them in deep water, but we didn't get photos for that. We also went to the straw market where I got a coach {pink} of course!!! the aquarium was amazing with such huge string ray, the food was tasty, and the beach was amazing! It was a glorious day! Then we came back and got dressed up for an evening of fun!!! This night, they had 80's night in one of the clubs and we danced and danced!! I love these girls!
