Sketchabilities Sketch #40!!!

Warm and wintery wishes this winter season!
I took advantage of the weather this year and went out and go some good shots.
On this day, A grabbed the camera and took over and shot me!
So I wanted to use these photos for Sketchabilities sketch #40!!

The sketch

My take

I LOVE this layout because of the story! But I noticed as I had run out of adhesive that I used scrapbooking glue and well.. It jacked my page up! But I am going to keep it as it is because I like it so!!! Oh well. That happens!

I hope that you find inspiration from the newest Sketchabilities sketch too!

A bunch of stuff.

Right now I am addicted to these. Even though I hardly have them, I think about drinking them all the time!

UGH. Friends meet Starbucks Iced Soy Chai. Its not a new drink, but its a new love for me. But these babies are packed with calories which is why I spend more time thinking about them than actually drinking them!!! LOL.

I got these in the mail and I can hardly wait to scrap using them!

and
I got a HUGE box of

which I happily tore into quickly scanning over each sticker sheet and then got busy! Unfortuntely I can't show anything just yet, but oooh! So fun! I am pretty stoked about my projects!

Now I'll leave you with a layout I did for another kit that will go
up for sale for The Scrappy Gourmet.

I spent my Saturday at work for 4 hours. We were SO dead in there. Seems as of late, we aren't getting a lot of peeps coming in on the weekends. I came home ate lunch got into my pj's and then started scrapping! D went fishing and A has been working on reports for school {she decided to procrastinate so she had to have school today!}.

So friends what did you do on Saturday?

Wait! Hold up a minute....

Hi my friends! It warms my heart to get to know each of you better!
How is your week fairing? I actually had a very good Monday and Tuesday.
How was yours?

Thought I'd share a layout with ya today!

I did this one for the most recent challenge at
My Paper Treehouse.
Go check it out and play along!

I have not done a grateful list in a very long time! It doesn't mean I am not grateful though. I thought I'd do one now.

1. That the Lord is not a God of confusion and disorder.
2. My beloved pets.
3. The fact that I get off of work at 1130. My hours are heaven!
4. Music.
5. Mail because its fun to open gifts!
6. Power naps. Because even though short, they make you feel so great afterwords!
7. Healthy eating.
8. FB. I know I can't believe I said that. But it's true. It keeps me connected to those far away that I cherish a lot.
9. Creativity.
10. The bible study I am doing with my church. We are doing Beth Moore's Esther "its tough being a woman". SO wonderful!

And this news... I can't wait to share it!  Its in the early stages, but it looks like its going to happen!!!!  I can't believe it!

Yep. I am going on a cruise!!! Can you tell I am excited!!! My girlfriends {right now its Melissa and Sarah and myself} and I are planning a summer trip to the Bahamas! It's all I'm thinking about right now, I can hardly believe it. I've never been on a cruise ship before!
Have any of you? Tell me about it.. What's it like? How's the food? Quarters? Etc.
I need to know the skinny!!!!

Well folks its getting later. We've got dinner and family time to be had! I plan on having a great Wednesday, hope you do too!

Scrappy Saturday!!!

I don't know about you, but when I get the opportunity to take pretty much an entire day and scrap, well I run with it! Of course I did do other things too like make dinner, laundry, be a taxi service, etc. But the majority of time was me spent in the house alone because D&A were busy! I loved it. I needed it. And I craved it. It was heavenly! So I took that opportunity and decided to play along with My Scrapbook Nook's crop they had!! It was so much fun trying each challenge, I really love challenges! Here is what I came with up!!!

Then D came home from work and that pretty much ended me scrappin'! But I enjoyed my time and the quietness of the house as I used my hands to create!
I sure hope that you had time to create something too!

Here's to praying and hoping that everyone's week this week is positive and wonderful!
Happy week everyone!

Scrapbook Circle

Before I show ya some scrappy stuff I thought I'd talk about me. LOL! I know, seems a tad-bit snobbish huh? Not really. This blog is very much about scrapping yes, but it is about me too.

So I had off Fri, Sat, Sun. And if ever I needed a 3 day weekend it was this weekend. I am thankful of it.

We went and viewed the 2 high schools that we are praying and thinking on for A for next year. The one that is just ok didn't seem as horrible when we actually visited it. But walking into the other one, seemed well... Better. A really likes school 2 a lot. And honestly I am still surprised she is open to going to a school where she knows no one. She is SO adventurous and I am very proud of her. We also learned that while she loves the clarinet, she would rather focus on drama. This came as a surprise to me and a shock to D. I think the both of us just assumed since she has been in band, is really good, and loves it would want to stick with it. But with being a freshman she only gets 1 elective. It's either band or drama. Well... it's obvious but weird at the same time. There is a way for her to do both, but we felt like her freshman year she shouldn't try to do so much. So if you wouldn't mind praying for us as we continue to pray as well. We have to put the choice paperwork in by the end of the school year to ensure she would get into either school.

The Music Man Jr. play is well on its way with rehearsals and such.
We are very busy with that for real!!! There are so many things written on my calendar that I simply wouldn't be able to function without it! We are enjoying the process immensely and are uber busy!!! Wow.

My work. Can I just share with you how horrible of a day I had last Thursday. I literally couldn't get out of work fast enough and by the time I did, I was already massively in tears.  I am not sure why there is so much opposition within my job. I just don't understand it and I found myself telling the Lord that I didn't understand it and didn't like it. The other super and I run that store like butter smooth, but yet outside influences are wrecking that every. single. day. with something stupidly new. I just work at Starbucks. Folks does it have to be this hard?

Okay with that note, I'll end the gab and show you the fab!! LOL! I know right, I should go on tour!!!! Not.

I wanted to show you what I created using my very first DT kit from Scrapbook Circle!
Totally fab and fun, which are right up my alley!!!

The kit

My layouts

With Alyssa being at rehearsal's, camp with our church, Dayv being at work. I literally spent the entire weekend scrapping! Be on the lookout for more scrappy goodness soon!!!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend too!

Pink.

Hello everyone!
Do you love pink? I know that I do, a lot! It screams being feminine, pretty, and cute all rolled into one! Pink is just a lovely color. But I only came to loving pink in my later years in life. I used to hate it, seriously I did! Only because it was all girlie and back in the day I tried so hard not to be so girlie.. I can't imagine thinking that now nor that I can't get enough of pink, I love it!
And with all this pink, recently I was able to create another kit that will go on sale soon for
The Scrappy Gourmet.

I could have made at least 3 layouts more with this kit its that amazing and one of my favorite kits that I've worked with in a long time, its that pretty! I sure hope you think its pretty too!

Tell me friends how do you feel about pink?

The happiest Of Birthday's!!!

Happy birthday to my dear friend Nicole!

Happy birthday!!

Nicole is going to come over today and scrap! I made her a special lunch of quiche and salad! I also made her a German chocolate cake too!

I also made her this...
I am SO excited about this because I am purple challenged! But I saw the K&C Company embellishments and I was sold! I might not love purple, but I love purple and green together!!! So I gathered up a bunch of items from Joann's the other day and the idea came flowin'!
I sure hope she likes it!!!

Isn't it the cutest? I thought so and am excited to give it to her!
Off to celebrate, scrap, and have fun!!!

So.. Are you color challenged? If so, what colors don't you normally work with and why?
Off to have fun with Nicole!
Happy day all!

The winner!

Hello there!
I hope you came by to see who won my newest RAK and just to stop by!
I used the random generator thingy. It picked #11.

Ashley you are my RAK winner!!!! YEAH!

Blogger Ashley said...
Thanks for offering the giveaway! LOVE the stamps in the giveaway, and I LOVE your winter layout!

Ashley if you'll just email me: carneys4christ@yahoo.com and send me your addy, I'll pop this off in the mail!
Thanks for playing everyone!

I also have a few layouts to share with you! They are both done for challenges this month for My Paper Treehouse. Both of these layouts deal with who I am in the Lord.

I am on the ride of my life with the Lord because that is how I live! There are many twists and turns within our lives. The Lord gave me a vision one day of me hopping on a roller coaster. He's standing there awaiting me to get in. Tells me its going to be one of the most exciting rides I will ever go on. There will be twists, turns, loops, disappointments, fears, praises, and fun too! I get in, and he tells me that I need to allow him to control where the car goes. That I am to just strap on my seat belt and enjoy the ride with him!

Because God is still completing the work to be done in me, I can share with you that I cannot even live up to the Proverbs 31 woman. But.. I am still me. I am worth more than rubies because the Lord has shared with me since my walk began that I am worthy to Him. I am married to a man who's confidence in me is more than my own because he supports me, loves me, and treats me like a queen. This in turn helps me to have the same confidence that he has in me. I am a wife who lifts him up with every opportunity he deserves and even when he doesn't deserve it. I am a woman who keeps a list. So this means I stay on top of things and am organized. It helps our home to run smoothly as well as our lives. I am a cook. Even though I don't enjoy cooking, I cook for my family because they are happy when their bellies are full. Now in this season, we are eating very healthy which means finding and trying new recipes. Some work, some don't. But they still support me in my endeavors. I am there for my family for anything they might need at any time they need it. One of the most important roles in my life is to be a wife and mom. I cherish these roles and they honestly make me filled and happy. I am the decorator. One of my biggest goals within our family and home is to ensure that our home is a sanctuary. A place where we all can come and be just us. A place where we can be warm and cozy too. Our home is a place where we can be and enjoy being there. I am a thrifty girl. I try at all costs to decorate or find things that are nice but cheap. I don't need a lot of money to ensure that our home and ourselves are cared for. Its what I put into each thing that makes that thing amazing! I am a mom. One of the most rewarding, yet hardest jobs I've ever had is being a mom. But oh! How lovely it is to be able to teach, share, guide Alyssa through her life. I feel blessed by this job. I am a child of God. My walk with the Lord is the most important thing because if anyone can see Christ shining through me, then the Lord is at work. And I want to have the Lord be at work until he is finished. Interestingly enough, I might not believe I am like the Proverbs 31 women, but we all are in our own way.

I am not working today, which is kinda nice! Plus I have some fun this happening this week!
I hope you have some fun things going on this week too!

Still celebrating!!!!

Crisp. Clean. White.

Hey there again!
I don't know about you, but white says so much to me. Some think it is colorless, but I tend to lean towards thinking of it in a different way!

I wanted to show off the first peek of one of the kits that I did this past Saturday for The Scrappy Gourmet! This kit is packed with some yummy goodies!
Here is one layout I did using this kit.

I am very into white right now. Like I actually dream of having an all white room. Hence me working the white of this layout... Just with a little bit of pops of color I was enchanted!

White with pops of color or different shades of white.
Like this...

There is something so yummy. Clean. Crisp. New. About white. Not boring at all but filled with fresh and new. {All photos found online}

Tell me how do you feel about the color white?
